Who this policy covers
FileWords.com operates this website. This policy covers our pages, anonymous access sessions, and the services we use to display game giveaways and shopping offers. Contact us through the Contact Us page for privacy questions or requests.
No visitor accounts
You do not need an account. We do not ask you to create a username, provide an email address, or choose a password. Do not send sensitive personal information through support correspondence.
Information processed by FileWords
Our server processes your requested page, request time, browser request headers, and network IP address to deliver pages and protect the service. We use random browser-session and offer-tracking references to associate a confirmed content-locker completion with that browser. We do not use those references to identify your real-world identity. Store names you select are used to look up shopping offers. We do not collect your shopping cart, payment details, order history, or purchases.
Cookies and local storage
An essential HttpOnly session cookie keeps your anonymous access session working for up to 24 hours. A confirmed unlock lasts up to one hour and can expire sooner if you clear cookies. We do not use browser local storage to keep a shopping or browsing history. Advertising services can set their own cookies or similar technologies when you choose to open their offers.
Advertising choices
The content sections require successful completion of an eligible advertiser offer. Before opening the locker, you can choose whether to proceed. We load third-party content-locker scripts only when you request offers. Our content-locker provider is identified in our Terms of Service. That provider, advertisers, and their partners may receive your IP address, device/browser information, referring information, and anonymous tracking reference. They may use cookies, advertising identifiers, conversion tracking, and information you submit directly to them. Their own policies and offer terms govern that processing. You can decline to open offers and still read our public informational, policy, and contact pages.
Listing and shopping providers
Our server requests game listings from GamerPower and store-specific coupons and deals from McClipFace. We send McClipFace the selected store name and the USD currency setting, not your session reference, IP address, or identity. Provider requests originate from our server. After unlock, giveaway images may load directly from GamerPower and disclose your IP address to it. Following a giveaway, retailer, or tracked shopping link sends you to an external service, which can receive technical and tracking information under its own policy.
Affiliate relationships
FileWords may receive compensation for qualifying advertiser offer completions. Some shopping links may earn McClipFace a commission at no added cost to you. We identify those links next to the relevant offer. Opening a tracked shopping link is your choice; you can instead use an available direct store link or visit the retailer independently. We do not send coupon-outcome reports to McClipFace.
Why we process information
We process essential session information to provide the access you request, verify offer completions, prevent replay and abuse, respect provider limits, and secure the website. Where applicable law requires consent for advertising technologies, choosing to open offers is the affirmative action used for that request; third-party consent controls may also apply. We do not load the locker merely because you visit a policy or landing page.
Retention
Anonymous sessions expire within 24 hours. Pending offer references expire within one hour. Hashed completion-event references are retained for up to seven days to prevent duplicate processing. Short-lived abuse-rate records are held in application memory for up to ten minutes. Game-listing caches expire at the next clock hour; each successful store-search cache, including empty results, expires 24 hours after it is created. Expired entries are excluded immediately from responses and removed by the running cleanup task. These listing caches contain provider data, not visitor shopping histories. Hosting infrastructure and backup systems may have their own technical retention periods; we do not promise instantaneous physical erasure from all storage or third-party systems.
Service providers and international processing
Hosting, network, advertising, listing, retailer, affiliate, and support-email providers process information necessary for their services. Information may be processed in countries outside your location. We do not claim that these independent providers follow this policy; review their policies before submitting information or completing an offer. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect the service and others.
Your choices and rights
You can decline offers, clear the site cookie, restrict third-party cookies, or stop using the service. Browser restrictions can prevent a locker or conversion from working. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. Because we do not maintain visitor accounts, we may need the relevant session or transaction context to locate a record; do not send passwords or unrelated identity documents. Contact advertisers or retailers directly about information you provided to them.
Security and children
We use HTTPS in production, restricted session cookies, server-side access checks, request limits, validation, and limited data collection. No system can guarantee absolute security. FileWords is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly request personal information from children; contact us if you believe a child supplied information to us.
